Same Hat... Same Jonah... 6months later

Jonah is 6 months old today and I thought I would take his picture with the same hat Megan took when he was just two weeks old. I think he is pretty cute :).

A Fun Family day!

Yesterday the five of us went with the Lanes to Lytle Creek for a little hike. (And when I say little hike, I mean we never walked far enough where we couldnt see our cars).
Our kids had so much fun! Hunter LOVED to throw rocks into the creek. Haley loved to do that too, but also loved to pick the flowers :). Above is Jane and Zach and Me and Jonah.

Happy Heart Day.. a few days late

Hunter in his hat he made at Preschool... he kept running around the house going, "buzzzzzz buzz buzzzz buz... i am going to sting you." then he would go up to Haley and "sting" her with his front... We had to show him that stingers are in the BACK part of the bee. I don't need my son stinging people with the wrong section :).
Crazy Faces!!!
Gracie and Haley prepped for this picture... they both had to go get chocolate all over their faces... really, I think they just wanted an excuse to get more chocolate.

Our Bible Study meets on Thursday nights and so we all had a dinner from the Olive Garden. it was YUMMY!
Me with my boyfriend... shhhhhhh don't tell Jim... Just kidding. This is Grandpa Wes... Our friend, Bill's grandpa. I took the picture myself... I am so talented!
Hunter and Nate... They really love each other!!! Whenever they see each other they run up and give each other hugs as if they haven't seen each other in years... it is really cute! This picture sure makes Hunter look short... he is bending over.

What a February

I just laugh when I see this picture... :) There isnt a story to it other then I think it is funny :)
This is SNOW in RANCHO.... Cool huh? this, unfortunately, is the BEST picture I could take... it was SANTA ANA winds and snow... weird....Haley wouldnt come outside and Hunter was too into Thomas. Arent I pretty :) (Dont answer that)
Trains in time out! Hunter would not listen to me... so I put his Thomas train in time out... he STILL wouldnt listen so I put James (anther train) in time out... He STILL wouldnt listen (by the way, all he had to do was put books away)... so I put EVERY train in time out...
This is the day AFTER the snow... the kids wanted to ride bikes... It was really warm out! Jonah had fun too.... i love that I can sit out in my front yard on a blanket and let me kids just play :)

Hanging with New Friends

The kids and I went to Memorial Park yesterday. This is a park I went to as a little little kid myself. The kids had a blast. It was a speer of the moment trip and we had a blast! I love spontaneous :).. I don't get to do that a lot but when I do it is always a fun adventure!
We met up with Joi and her three boys, Garrison, Gage and Gavin and the little girl she baby sits, Natalie (my good friend from high school, Kim's daughter).
My oldest two get along so well. I love it! (Actually ALL my kids get along, but really, it is pretty hard to NOT get along with Jonah).
Hunter had a blast with Joi's boys! He talked about Gavin and Gage and the other boy in blue... In all fairness, Garrison is a long name AND is in a different class at church then the other three boys.
The boys playing birthday party :) one of my kids favorite things to play. They made sand b-day cakes and put a stick as the candle... then would sing to who evers b-day they say it was.

Lindsay and Bella came too! Haley was so glad to have another girl there. Haley LOVES Bella. She loves Lindsay too!
After the park, the kids and Joi walked back to her house for lunch! I had my car so Jonah and I followed at the stocker distance... I am surprised my van and my description isn't going around Upland schools.... :) I felt stockerish sticking my head out the window taking pictures. I wanted to capture Joi with ALL the kids. I should have given her Jonah in the stroller to push too!

She REALLY rocks with children! She is a FANTASTIC mother.... She has three wonderful boys... and great ideas on how to discipline them and teach them!!! If you ever need creative ways to deal with your kids and you feel you have tried all that you can think of... go to Joi.... She really rocks!!!

I HATE JONNY

Jim and I ALWAYS join a survivor pool when a new season starts... we have won once (YEA Amanda on the Survivor all-stars) and we have gotten REALLY close, like 2nd place a few times... but this time we got stuck with Jonny Crappy Play :( who got voted out on the first tribal counsel!! Really, he gave up!

To look on the bright side, I can root for who I want to and like... :)

Sorry if you don't follow Survivor...

Sometimes you just gotta let stuff go....

Jonah has not embraced the pacifier thing... he loves his "flum" and his middle finger mostly :) It is pretty awesome... awesomely funny that is.
So this morning, Haley got online and went to playhouse Disney. She played the Choo Choo Soul with Genevieve and her and Hunt lined up the kitchen chairs to make a train... Hunt got his train tickets and other Thomas trains (not seen in picture) and they danced and sag along. They made a HUGE mess of the living room, but you know, they had a ton of fun and watching their joy made it worth it :).

The Four Eyes Club

Hunter saw that I moved his toy tub into Jonah's room and decided to climb in and check out Jonah's goods :)
Hunter thinks him and I are special because we have glasses... I think he is right :)
He is doing great at keeping his glasses on too! Most of the time they are low on his nose and he looks over the top of them... but, hey, at least he is keeping them on!
Jim had a hard time with Hunt and the glasses... I think he is just bummed that he has to wear them and the fact Hunt is 3.

Tube update :(...
(sad face that there has to be tubes in the picture)
We went in on Thursday (the same day we got the glasses). Good news... there isn't any hearing damage... YEA

Bad news...
He HAD an infection. I didn't even know. The Dr. said, "He has runny nose..." So what, I have to take him to the Dr. EVERY TIME he has a runny nose? Don't get me wrong... I like the Doctor. So the Doctor needs to see him in three weeks to see if we are going to do tubes!

Above is me and below is Jimmy at the age of Hunter right now
The last five pictures are of Jim and I at the age of five... which is Haley's age.

Scott and Jenny = 51

Scott's b-day was the 25th of January and Jenny's is Feb 9th. We had a combined family party! But they each got to have their own cake :).
Brothers playing together... sorta :)
For Super Bowl we had some parties we were going to attend but things just got too crazy that we ended up staying home and had the Lane's come over for some bath time fun :). Hunter LOVES Nate. Anytime we are not with Nate, Hunter has his imaginary friend Nate. They are 6 months apart.
Haley wanted to be apart of the boy bath fun... so i took her picture. She is getting to be so big! I can't believe how grown up she is getting!

Back by popular demand! MY LINKS!!!

Ok ok ok... I got negative responses to taking off all my friendly links... I guess I didn't realize how many of you out there use my links. So I put BACK the link list... I added a few too (if you were one I added and would link me to take off your link I will! Just let me know... i understand)... ALSO... I may have forgotten a few people, I quickly did the link list this morning... I am not using my link list to get to my friends blogs, so if there is someone you all notice is missing, let me know....

The above picture is our family showing off our car tattoos... (Jonah did not receive a tattoo - we will continue to put money away for his counseling) I had to take the picture myself... so it is of great quality!

My recommendation

This is bag balm... yes, the tin says it is utter cream :) awesome.... Anyways... my friend, Lindsay, told me about it to try on Haley's special skin :). I have tried so many things... She usually cries in pain when we have to put cream on her... we have had about four different prescription creams, we have tried other natural home remedies.... all end up making her cry. This doesn't. It is creamy and a little greasy. It is VERY similar to Aquaphor except that the greasiness goes away faster and is way cheaper!!!! This tin lasts FOREVER and it is UNDER 4 bucks at Costco!
