Updates....

This is my new due! It does lighten every time I wash it :). It is crazy. I don't recognize myself. I scared Haley the next morning waking her up for school.
What happened: Washing my hair after Jenny dying it, my hair turned purple. I decided to call a gal I know from mops (Robin) and ask her what home remedy I could do, or if I was doomed to be a purple people eater for Christmas. She told me to come in and that her and Gina would take care of me... and they did. I felt so blessed by them! I didn't bring a camera to the saloon, Gina took a picture with her camera and when I get a copy of it I will add it to my blog :)... Thanks Robin and Gina!!! From now on, I don't mess with my own hair! I will spend the money on it, it is worth it :).
Hanukkah with the Jones and Vandegrift's at Len and Jenna's. Jenna made a FABULOUS meal!!!
My three kiddos... I love them :).

Before and after...

Things I have learned about myself!!!!

This is how you are going to see me for a while, or until Jenny can help me fix my problem :). I have been trying to help us save money by completing tasks that I feel I can do without paying someone else to do... for example, I gave my dogs a lovely hair cut :) and saved us 80 dollars by doing so.

What I have learned is is that some tasks, there is a reason you pay someone to do it. They know how!

For example. A month or so ago I decided to cut my bangs. Why pay someone to do it... how hard could it be.... well, I spent the next three weeks or so pulling my bangs back because I did such a poor job cutting them! I kept trying to make them even and in doing so, cut them so short....

Ok, lesson number two that I have learned! When you die your hair, do not use hair die you have had in the cabinet for over two years. Last night I decided I was sick of my roots showing and didn't want to pay big bucks to have some professional die my hair brown. So I dug out this hair die... BROWN! I thought I would die it myself. The kids watched me, they thought it looked fun! Well, now I have purple/red hair that is so funny looking you can't help but laugh! OH MY GOSH!!!! When I blew my hair dry last night, Hunter looks up at me and says, "Mommy, I want red hair too!" so did Haley! Then Hunter said, "mommy, I think you look beautiful!" How sweet huh? Love is blind!!! :)

This morning Haley walked out of her room and took a double take... "Mama, I forgot that your hair is so red.... I still love you though!"

Anyways... fill free to laugh with me :) I am sure people think I am going through some mid life crisis or something... too bad I do this all the time and not just now! :) it is just hair and it will grow out or come out some time!!!

This picture doesn't even do it justice!!! It is BRIGHT and FUN :) (I write fun so I can feel better about it).. this picture makes it look cute... (as cute as this color could be on me)

Snow in Rancho???

After an evening of Dippin' Dots, we went to Victoria Gardens for some fake snow fun! Luckily Jane had her camera, I didn't. I stole these pictures from her blog :). For a Utube video of this fun visit Jane's blog!

Mom's Thanksgiving Pictures :)

I tried to recreate the picture Meg took right after Jonah was born... it was a little harder without help :).
Great Grandma Smith holding her youngest great grandchild!
We had a Thanksgiving lunch because my parents and grandparents were leaving to camp in Malibu that evening... so our family of five went to Red Hill Park with the Auzzie family of five to play ball :)
You will have to hear my mom or dad share their Malibu story... They had to evacuate the RV park due to the fire.
Hunter had a hard time sharing the "soccer" ball :) When Haley kicked the ball to him, he jumped on top of it.
It was really cold! Aunt Shellie, me and the little kids watched the big kids "play" softball....

Haley's Thanksgiving Pictures

Haley loves to take my camera and take pictures. On Thanksgiving she was very silly and took some silly pictures of us all... This is Prestin (my cousin) and his very nice left ear.
Here Haley is expressing herself with an upside down picture of her mom and Aunt Jenny :).
Here is a lovely picture of Deron... I am sure he would love to know I am posting this picture :).
A very close up of Jasen!
And Finally... a nice up the nose shot of Uncle Scoby!
Jasen and Scoby have some beautiful green eyes :)

Joe is 3 months old! Which picture is better?

This is my attempt to take portraits of Joe. The top one is with a flash and the bottom two are without a flash, which do you think is better?

Happy Thanksgiving

This is a picture of last Friday at school. Hunter, Isabel and Gracie A. are in Pre-School at Caryn Elementary (CLOUDS) together - kinda. They are all in different classes. Haley and Gracie S. are in kindergarten together.
I think Haley must be smelling a fart or something by her facial expression!

A time for thanks

Wow... Jim and I belong to such a great community at the Flipside. Jim and I were blessed with such a huge blessing this week by an anonymous fellow Flipsidian. Jim and I are just in awe. We always hear that this (Thanksgiving) is a time of being thankful... Jim and I are so very thankful for this generous servant and their giving heart. Thank you, who ever you are out there! May the Lord bless you like you have blessed us!

Happy Halloween

Trick or Treating at Gramma and Grandbud's house!
Hunter wanted to be a duck :) Haley wanted to wear this pretty dress and made up her own outfit and called herself Princess Lucy. :) Jonah wanted to be comfortable so he wore this very fancy Carter's sleeper :).
We went to LBF! There were a ton of activities for the kids. They got to play carnival games, visit a petting zoo :), and HOLD reptiles.
Haley is holding a snake!!!! Screams at flies but a snake she is cool with!
And yes, that is me holding a tarantula! Hunter and I are holding the biggest spider!!! (I am not a spider expert so there may be a bigger spider in the world but to me, this was HUGE!!!!) Holding this spider felt more like holding a hamster. It didn't feel like a spider!!! PLUS when I first saw it, it was in the mans hands that owned it so it felt more like someones pet. He was hairy and pet like!
We had fun!!!

SoCal Fires...

I have had a few family members and friends who don't live locally ask about the fires and what it was like where we lived. Here are a few pictures.
This was the view outside our house a week or so ago when we had all those fires. This smoke is from the Lake Arrowhead fire (I believe).
The Sun.
This is right off the Citrus Exit off the 210 fwy.

Welcome Drew on Jonah's 2 month old date :)

Welcome Drew Preston! Born to Sam and Kelly Taylor October 20, 2007 (exactly on Jonah's 2 month "birthday") Weighing in at 7 pounds and 11 oz. 20 inches long!!!
Happy half birthday Stef (Oct 23)... You know when you are a kid and you just can't wait to be 5 1/2 or 7 1/2.... as soon as I figured my half birthday I looked forward to it as much as a real birthday. At the age of 29 1/2 I don't so much... but I am starting to embrace my upcoming 30's. I think joking about turning 30 has gotten old for me (and I am sure my family and friends too) that I am getting over it :). So I am proud to say, I am 29 and 1/2 :).
I am holding Drew by the way... it isn't Jonah.
2 month old Jonah... NOT Joanie as Hunter has been calling him ... which is a HUGE NO!!! that is a girl name :(.... so whenever Hunt calls him Joanie, we correct him and say Joey! joey is a bit more masculine then Joanie.... :) am I being lame? Probably.
