Every year we go to san diego for a weekend with our church. Usually we have a trailer with us, but this year we got to stay in a cabin :)

joe's first family camp! he liked it! naps were HORRIBLE but overall he did really good! haley got to play with a lot of church friends... she met kaitlyn this weekend and had fun playing in the TP nana brought.

jane brought the swimming pools (thanks jane). my kids had fun in the pool... even joe... but didnt stay too long because they saw my aunt and cousins on the big bike.

we had a lot of fun... my next post will have me in it and my hair cut which will still be hard to see, but it is the best on I have so far... I am going to post our sunday in san diego... it was quite an adventure!

We went camping this weekend with our church down to San Diego. We do this every year! Here are just two pictures my friend, Danielle sent me. She took these of my boys and I love then! They are so good that i couldnt include them with MY pictures when I do my post on the weekend.

Anyways... I will write about family camp and share some pics once I get some time to do that :).

25 and 5

yesterday was my 30th birthday. When my kids got home from school they asked me what I wanted to do with them for my birthday.... I thought about an activity that I would enjoy with my kids for a long period of time... LITTLE LEGOS! We spent three hours "playing" little legos. I learned that I really like legos. The kids left to play with the neighbor friend across the street for an hour and I was so into building a tall tall tower that I kept playing with the legos. Yeah, I am cool!

Jonah is 8 months old and is home from the Hospital

A week ago today, Jonah came home from church being a bit fussy. We saw that he was getting a new tooth. So we took his fussiness to be based on his tooth coming in. That night we were up with him THE WHOLE night.... we got a FEW hours of sleep.

Monday evening, we find that he has an ear infection... YUCK, but at least we got meds right?
Wednesday morning Jonah wakes up sounding HORRIBLE... I drop the kids off at school and head to my dad's (the retired Director of Respiratory at San Antonio). Within a few seconds of being with my dad, he confirms that Jonah needs a breathing treatment.... BACK to urgent care we go.... They take a chest x-ray and confirm pneumonia. YUCK.... so now we have an ear infection AND respiratory issues :).

The urgent care doctor told us to follow up with our pediatrician so on Thursday Jim helped me out by taking Jonah to the Dr. who gave Joe ANOTHER breathing treatment only to find he was still struggling to breath. He has Jim take Jonah to the Hospital. Let me tell you, that is a freaky call to get. I was having time with Haley and to get a call from Jim telling me to meet him at the hospital was a shock really.

When we got there they told us he would be in there for AT LEAST 3 to 5 days.... his O2 was low and bordered on needing Oxygen. It took many tries, but they finally got an IV in and found that he had RSV.

After two nights and three days of hospital fun :) we got to take Jonah home yesterday! Praise God! He had to have many breathing treatments and even came home with a breathing treatment machine (I can't spell it).
I know these pictures are the greatest... I got a new camera and I was testing out the lighting.
This is Joe getting his breathing treatment at home. He likes it! Thankfully :). He is 8 months today and THANKFULLY is home with his family. He finally gets to crawl everywhere and play with some toys :). He is a real cutie. The Nurses at San Antonio were AWESOME and great. They loved Jonah and took great care of us. :)

Any kids at church... if they got sick from Jonah I am SOOOOOO sorry! I would never have taken him if I knew how sick he really was!

I'm on Dr. Phil!

This is a picture of me ON TV!!! In case you missed it, Tuesday I was on the Dr. Phil show.

Back in February, I went with a group of gals to see Dr. Phil. While there, I was approached by someone important who asked me if I would mind asking a question for the Dr. Phil show. The question was, "When should I stop breast feeding Jonah?" They had my friend Carrie ask a question too and another girl all from California that they asked us if there was any other place we have lived.... I said no... but when they told me that this would air in September, at the time Jim and I thought we would be living in Georgia by then so I said I was from Georgia... So if you saw me on the show, I was Stephanie from Georgia.

I didn't even know it aired until Haley's teacher called me up to tell me her breastfeeding advice and that she saw me on the show! Like I said, it was suppose to air in September so I wasn't expecting it to come on this early.

I wasnt on for very long, but it was fun....

my addictions

Ok... so I have a few addictions....

1. I am addicted to any one player games. Right now I love FreeCell. I heard that every game of FreeCell is beatable... so I am trying to see if this is true, so I am going in order from game 1 - when I cant beat a game. Right now I am on game 83.

2. I am addicted to Rite Aid Chocolate Chip ice cream. I think about it a lot :). Sad.

3. Coffee.... DUH! if I don't have my morning coffee, yikes, beware!

4. paper... most of you know that about me.... :) (I roll)

5?. Journaling.... I really like to journal and I will stay up late if I must to finish an entry! I am not sure if that qualifies as an addiction though... I think that is more just my OCD. I could list a TON of things I have to do RIGHT and FINISH once I start... so I guess it isnt an addiction.

Ok... now I am just rambling

Glitter Glam 08

Every year our church puts on a Glitter Glam Party. This is where girls of all ages come together and get all dressed up. The Older girls help the younger girls with hair, make up, nails, and other fun things... Girls of all ages LOVE IT!!! Haley especially loves it.
Haley wore her Halloween costume (a few years ago). This was the flower girl dress I wore in my aunt and uncle's wedding back in 1983 (or 84?). My mom made it WAY back in day :) and added strawberry shortcake fabric a few years back when Haley wore it for Halloween.

The girls got to walk down a run way! They had so much fun!

ELR.. anyone?

Ok.. I am addicted to this show. Joi let me barrow seasons 1-5 and now all I want to do is see the rest :) (seasons 6-9). Being that we are saving money right now I can't justify buying them. I was wondering if I had any friends out there that might have them that I could barrow... :)

It is funny because when they were on TV... new... I never watched it. I never really got into them. But now, I totally can just relate to Debra having 3 kids and all. I don't relate to the in-law part. My in-laws are anything BUT intrusive!
